"Oh yeah, cause that's productive," he mumbled, watching Sebby trying to get a tree's attention that looked like a person from far away. Speed Stingers were highly intelligent. They were the fastest dragons out there, especially since they could beat a Night Fury in a race. Even if the black cheater was flying. The Book of Dragons wasn't updated with their speed, which ticked Mirun off. Knowing they reach the level of 30 in speed would be really helpful to know. They could run for very long distances, and even though they couldn't fly, they could jump onto the back of a flying dragon, stab them with their poison barbed tail, and take them down. Not only that, but they had amazing stealth, and they may have lacked in a range of attacks, but meeting a wild one in the dark spelled death. They were basically blind during the day, thus why Sebby was getting confused with this tree here, but their night vision was nearly perfect. They were also the only dragons, besides the Night Fury whom Mirun didn't really respect, to not have a horn on its nose or a horn-shaped nose. Their biggest weakness was adrenaline in their prey. Thankfully Mirun had plenty of that when he was running for his life from Venus when they first met, or he would be a frozen dead man had it not been for him running like the devil and Mozart taking her out. Sadly, if Sebby wasn't around, none of the other Stingers would know what to do so they follow Mirun. Because apparently, they won't listen to Venus who is usually glued to Sebby's side to keep him out of trouble. Oh yeah, wonderful times when they decide to wander off. Not only that, they slept upside down during the day, even though Sebby was active during the day thanks to wanting to be awake when everyone else was, so his pack followed suit which made them appear as stupid as hell.
So, why did he end up watching the lead Speed Stinger, smartest one in the pack, trying to give a tree flowers? Oh yes, this was lovely. He glanced to the sun, thankfully it wasn't all the way down but it was making its way there. The hunting trip would have to be when Sveinn wouldn't get turned into a lobster. Once the sun went down though, Sebby would stop being the gentle dragon he usually was and turn into a cold killer. His pack would follow his actions. They all might be smart, but the leader was the leader and the leader knew best. Mirun clapped his hands to get the pack's attention, Sebby walking over to him, his jaw full of flowers. "Have fun," he said, throwing his hands in the air. Sebby's eyes narrowed as he dropped the flowers and let out a loud screeching roar, dashing away like a devil with the pack following him. Venus stayed behind, snorting a bit while she looked at Mirun, getting a look. "Aren't you gonna join them?" Mozart wasn't there that day, neither was Queen. Not even one of Mirun's Terrors. Venus was in charge of making sure he didn't die. She raised the crest on her head, which named her the leader's mate thanks to its bright coloration, and swished her poison tail dangerously. "Alrighty then." Venus took it as a win and waited with her trainer for the others to arrive, keeping an eye out. The sooner they got hunting, the better.

[attr="class","scrolly"] A pale hand pushed at the giant snout, fingers splayed across the scales. Red melted with pale, pale green. They remained like this for nearly half an hour, staring at each other with narrowing eyes. It was almost like a staring contest, only this one involved more dominance rights than the usual contests. He did not dare back down, not even as a raspy hiss sounded from the sea dragon as it slowly opened its narrow mouth, flashing razor sharp fangs that glinted in the remaining sunlight. This hiss was quickly matched with a low, rumbling growl from the man. He never broke his gaze. He never softened it. He never removed his hand. Three... Two... One. The Scauldron's eyes widened as a sudden shove forced the dragon to lose its grip on the wooden dock, falling backward into the salty water. The man let out a barking laugh, holding onto his stomach as the Scauldron resurfaced, a pout forming on its face. "What?" Sveinn peered over the edge of the dock, a grin forming on his face as he calmed himself down. "I never said I didn't play dirty. Dominance is something earned through cheap tricks as well as intimidation." He took a step away from the edge of the dock right as a large blast of boiling hot water was sent into the air, aimed at the sky (or, rather, it was aimed at his head). He watched with triumph as gravity played its part, redirecting the water back down on the Scauldron who let out a small noise before retreating into the water.
"See ya later, Ludvig!" He called after, turning to stroll away from the docks. He had spent enough time waiting for the sun to disappear. There was only a small sliver of it upon the horizon, casting a dark silhouette on the distant academy and closer buildings. He had sent Rosa back as soon as he arrived at the docks, deciding she didn't need to accidentally get caught in the crossfire. Mother Theresa also had to be warded off, and the Nightmare did not like the idea of being left out of a good hunt. She could be used when he wasn't in a group. Otherwise, she would assume everyone other than Sveinn could be targeted as her next victim. The albino strolled through town, making his slow travel toward the destination they had marked to hunt in. He hadn't been in the forest for a while, and his more-or-less canine instincts and hunting habits could be used to their fullest potential while surrounded by trees. He may not seem like it, but he had spent many, many nights during his actual attendance at the academy just hunting for both Rosa and himself. Obtaining the skills and senses necessary came through trial and error. It probably also helped that his eyesight was a lot better at night with only the glow of the moon above them.
Nightfall crept closer and closer as he neared the edge of the forest. His hands moved to finger the hilts of the long, curved knives in their sheaths on his hips, just itching to unsheathe them and use them. Red eyes darted around until he decided to just focus ahead, listening to the sounds around him. Really, he didn't have to search for long until he saw a familiar dragon trying to... Give flowers to a tree. So typical. Ignoring this, he made his way over to the blond teacher, a wolfish grin forming on his face as he neared. "Miss me?" He couldn't remember if the other teachers have witnessed him hunt before. Ah, well, there's a first time for everything, huh? Ah, hunting. Having both completed his training as a student and been the Master Tamer teacher for a year- and survived all of it, at least so far- Raphael was at familiar with the concept that, although his particular dragons were sweethearts, they were still wild animals at heart and he couldn't very well expect them to be lapdogs their whole lives. And if that involved savagely ripping apart small fuzzy animals, well, everyone had to eat somehow, it was just part of life. He was at peace with that, he really was- but going hunting with Mirun and Sveinn of all people? Those freshmen really must have messed up his brain something fierce, he was just not making good decisions today. But, well, there was no way in Hel he was blowing them off- Sveinn would be in a hunting mood, and then track him down to drag him there, and that was not something he needed to deal with- but he wasn't exactly happy about it, and so he found himself taking as long as possible getting his dragons all ready and out of their pens. Saggezza wasn't coming along- the old Nightmare was getting up there in years and wasn't really up for hunting alongside Sveinn and those Speed Stingers- and so it was just the Snaptrapper and his two faithful Terrors that followed Raphael as he reluctantly made his way into the forest.
The fact that his Snaptrapper was just as cowardly as Raphael himself was certainly not helping the situation. He'd ridden the dragon on the way over here but was now making his way on foot, his hand petting one of the heads- pretty sure this was Tyr, he'd always seemed shyer than the others- soothingly, the dragon purring slightly even as it pressed up against him. He wasn't sure he'd ever taken the Snaptrapper hunting before, he was a pretty young dragon, so this could get... interesting. Maybe it might distract Sveinn though? Give him something else to focus on other than the Tamer, if Loki was having mercy on him. He caught up to the others just after Sveinn arrived, wincing a bit despite himself even as he murmured to his dragon that yes, this was a human and no, he wasn't going to... er, eat him. (No promises on the hurt, though he wouldn't say that out loud). "Um, hey?" No way he was ever going to sneak up on these two, but it was only polite to announce himself, he supposed. "Hmm. I d-don't know if you have met? Thisss is Tyr. And Fell, and Hall, and Vern." Sveinn was so not going to approve- ugh, one night of Hel, coming right up.

How long was it going to take before someone else showed up? He was bored, he wanted to go hunting, and- oh, hello Sebastian, what did you bring back this time? Mirun sighed and rubbed his eyes, taking the flowers the Stinger brought back before it ran off again. Really... the alpha of the back... Odin help them all. At least this time he should stay gone, especially when Sebastian got his right leg bit by his mate. Venus was the serious one, thank Thor. At least she would keep him in line, and keep him busy. Yet the problem of what to do until everyone else showed up was still there. Mirun would much rather be hunting for dragons. He missed riding on Mozart with Queen spitting rings of fire and tunneling through the ground to scare the prey out before swooping down and taking them to the ground so his Stingers could do their work. That was fun. Yet they did need more food at the academy. Not like the students could do it, Odin help them. Could they even tie a proper knot? Probably not.
The voice made him perk up, titling his head to the side, glancing over his shoulder. A wide grin split Mirun's face, eyes sparkling. Oh, finally, things were going to get interesting! He always wondered how Sveinn hunted. Mirun imagined a blood bath. Now wasn't that just exciting? "Well, well, well," he purred out in a hum, "if it isn't my favorite psychopathic trainer! You ready to get started? I'm dying of boredom." Mirun liked his two co-workers. Well, the two he actually considered his co-workers. Sveinn always added a different light of fun to things, Mirun thought, and Raphael was just plain adorable it was like watching kittens meet their first dog. Hehe, cute. Well, speak of the devil and he shall appear. Mirun let his gaze fall on Raphael before it settled onto the Snaptrapper. Ah, he remembered these things. Not nearly as fun as Timberjacks, but that was just him. "Raphael! I was beginning to think you skipped out, darling!" He hummed, giving a nod to the dragon. Yeah, he was so not remembering those names. Not at all. Venus gave a low growl at the Snaptrapper, trying to assert her dominance in this situation. Mirun just ran a hand across her back, urging her to be nice.

[attr="class","scrolly"] "You're dying of boredom?" He let out a short bark of a laugh, his grin never leaving his face as he neared the blond. "I'm the one who can never state his boredom. This entire academy is worse than the fires of... Oh, what did that one Greek kid call it?" He let out a hum as he drew closer before the word finally formed in his head. "Hades. Worse than the fires of Hades, whatever the hell that means. I like the sound of it, though." He took to circling around Mirun, already in the predator mindset. He couldn't wait to begin the hunt. His fingers twitched, reaching toward the carving knives before he stopped himself. He can wait. But, for how long? He stopped his circling as soon as Raphael made himself known, coming to stand beside Mirun as his eyes were instantly drawn toward the Snaptrapper.
Crimson irises danced over the large dragon's form, taking in every detail from the tip of the tail and each individual head on the dragon's body. He knew the youngest of the three had something like this, but he had never seen it. Now that he was able to, he instantly disapproved. "Somebody needs to work with their dragons more..." He glanced from the Snaptrapper to the dragons Mirun had brought along, letting out a heavy sigh. "More like both of you." The man lifted his hand to his face, hanging his head slightly as he combed his fingers through his hair. He would deal with how the other teachers managed their dragons later. Right now, he needed to blow off some steam.
"Let's get this over with before I start targeting your damn dragons." He let out a growl, narrowing his eyes in the direction of the trees. He wanted to go deeper into the forest. Hell, he wanted to get lost in the forest. In the middle of the night, too. Maybe he could use it as an excuse to not teach classes tomorrow. Pah, why take a job that you don't want, Sveinn? Because he's a sadomasochist. Obviously.
